Description
Kingsmans Farmhouse is a house dating from around 1600, with later alterations in the 18th century and 20th century. It is timber framed and weatherboarded, topped with a red plain tiled roof. The building has red brick chimney stacks on each range, with external stacks located on the north and south sides of the west face. The farmhouse is now in an H plan configuration, featuring two-storey east and west gabled ranges, and a central range from circa 1600 that is one storey with attics and two catslide dormers. The east face has a window arrangement of 1:2:0 and a central 20th-century gabled porch with a vertically boarded door. The west face has a three-window range and a central glazed door, with a round-headed window above. All windows are vertically sliding sashes with glazing bars. The original range has a substantial oak frame, with a halved and bladed wall plate scarf.
