Description

This is a row of four cottages dating from the late 18th century to the early 19th century, situated on the east side of Ongar High Street. The cottages are timber-framed and have been rough-rendered with grey slate roofs and projecting eaves. They feature a six-window facade with small, multi-paned, vertically sliding sash windows set within moulded surrounds. Four matching boarded doors, each with four panes of glass and flat canopies supported by brackets, provide access. A central passageway is accessed via a boarded door.
