Description
Barncroft is a house dating from the mid-17th century or earlier, with later alterations and additions. It is constructed with a timber frame and has plastered walls, featuring 20th-century pargetting. The roof is covered with red plain tiles and has barge boarding at the eaves. The right side of the building is weatherboarded, and there are lean-to extensions on both the left and right sides. The house has two storeys and a three-window range that includes 17th-century iron windows with saddle bars and catches, as well as diamond leaded lights. The entrance features an off-centre 20th-century plank and muntin door set in a moulded surround, topped with a small canopy supported by brackets. There is also a 20th-century plank and muntin door and window on the right extension. An off-centre red brick chimney stack is present on the building.
