Description
78 and 80 Wantz Road are a pair of houses built in the early 19th century. They are constructed of painted brick and feature a gabled slate roof with two chimneys. The houses stand three storeys high and each has a two-window range. Each unit includes one 12-pane sash window with a segmental head on the first and second floors. Both houses have semicircular-headed entrances with 20th-century doors. No. 80 features a canted hip-roofed bay window with sash windows, while No. 78 has a three-light 20th-century window with a hood over the ground floor. The rear of No. 78 has one 12-pane sash window on the second floor, above two similar windows, and a flat-roofed extension. No. 80 has 20th-century windows in the original openings arranged in a similar pattern, along with a slated lean-to. The interior has not been inspected.
