Description
1 and 2 Bartholomew Green are a pair of houses built in the early 19th century, with some alterations made in the 20th century. The buildings are constructed of brick, with No. 2 being rendered and whitewashed. They feature a pantile roof with a rendered central ridge stack.
The exterior consists of two storeys and a dormer attic, presenting a symmetrical front with two windows. On either side of the front are renewed doors set under segmental arches, with two segment-headed sash windows positioned between them. The sash window in No. 1 has 8/8 unhorned glazing bars, while No. 2 has a 2/2 unhorned sash window. The first floor of No. 1 features a 3/3 horned sash window, and No. 2 has an early 19th-century 2-light casement window. A dentil eaves cornice runs along the top of the building. There are two dormers, each with 3/3 unhorned sash windows.
On the left side, the gable end is lit by a segment-headed 8/8 unhorned sash window on the ground floor, with one 2-light casement window on both the first and attic floors. The interior has not been inspected.
