Description

Southwold Museum is an early 18th-century house that was restored and converted for its current use in 1933. It is constructed of red brick with a pantile roof. The building is single-storey with an attic, featuring a gabled front facing Victoria Street, and both front and rear gables are shaped with segmental pediments at the apex. The street facade includes a 20th-century half-glazed plank door to the left of an 18th-century two-light casement window with glazing bars and external shutters. An attic Venetian window with glazing bars interrupts the eaves platband. The right return has two three-light metal casement windows replacing original openings. The interior was not inspected.
