Description
Iona is an early 19th-century house located on Bartholomew Green, Southwold. It is constructed of red brick with a timber doorcase, and has a slate roof with brick stacks at each end. The front elevation is two storeys high and features three windows. A central glazed door is set within a doorcase with a hood supported by consoles. To the left of the door is a single 6/6 pane horned sash window set in a flush frame, positioned under a gauged skewback arch. A canted bay window is to the right of the door and has 0/0 and 2/2 horned sashes. The first floor has three flush-framed horned sashes; the window to the right has 2/2 glazing bars, while the other two have 6/6 glazing bars. The interior of the house was not inspected.
