Description

This is a shop with living accommodation above, dating from around 1830, with later alterations from the 19th and 20th centuries. It is constructed of gault brick with a slate roof and a brick stack at the left end.

The two-window front has a mid-19th-century shop front featuring four plain pilasters rising to a plain fascia board and cornice. A central 20th-century plate-glass door is present. The left display window has been replaced with plate glass, but retains a gauged skewback arch. The right display window has been completely replaced with plate glass. A former doorway to the upper accommodation on the right has been blocked and converted into a display window. The upper floors feature sash windows: the first floor has 2/2 horned sashes with rendered and painted skewback arches, while the second floor has 8/8 unhorned sashes and 4/4 unhorned sashes.

The ground-floor retail area has an open plan, with former walls having been replaced with rolled steel joists.
