Description
This barn, located approximately 15 metres north-east of Rolls Farmhouse, dates from the 18th century. It is timber-framed and has a weatherboarded exterior with a roof made of handmade red clay tiles. The barn consists of five bays arranged in a north-south direction, featuring a midstrey to the west. There is a lean-to extension on the left side of the midstrey and an open shelter lean-to on the right side. The structure includes primary straight bracing, face-halved and bladed scarfs in the wallplates, bolted knees to the tiebeams, and a clasped purlin roof. The plinth is made of red brick laid in English bond.
