Description

No. 38 Church Street is a cottage dating from the 18th century or early 19th century, with a 20th-century extension. It is constructed with a timber frame and weatherboarding, topped with handmade red clay tiles. The cottage has two bays facing east and features an external stack at the left end. In front of the right end, there is a single-storey extension added in the 20th century. The building is one storey high with attics and includes one 19th-century horizontal sash window with 12 lights, along with two similar sashes with 8 lights in lean-to dormers. The entrance has a plain boarded door, and the roof is gambrel in style.
