TL 40 NE NORTH WEALD BASSETT GLOVERS LANE 4/15 Barn approx. 10 1.12.83 metres W of Glovers Farmhouse

GV II

Barn, c.1600. Timber framed, weatherboarded, roofed with corrugated iron. 4 bays aligned approx. NW-SE, entrance to NE in second bay from NW end. Lean-to extension at SE end, part brick, part weatherboarded, corrugated iron roof. Roof of barn hipped at both ends. Jowled posts, heavy studding, arched braces rising from corner posts to tiebeams and wallplates inside studs, not trenched. Arched braces to intermediate tiebeams, inclined queen posts supporting side purlins trenched into principal rafters, with curved wind bracing. Some original wattle and daub infill in NE wall only.
