Description
Glovers Farmhouse is an 18th-century farmhouse that has been extended in the 19th and 20th centuries. It is timber framed and has weatherboard cladding, with a roof of handmade red clay tiles. The building is aligned approximately north-east to south-west, with its main aspect facing northwest. Axial chimney stacks are located at the north-east end and approximately five windows to the west of the middle. A central entrance hall also serves as a staircase. A single-storey extension in painted brickwork dates to the 19th century on the northwest side. Attached to this is a single-storey lean-to extension to the east, and a conservatory to the southeast, both dating to the 20th century. The farmhouse is two storeys high. It features a half-glazed door under a tiled gabled hood supported on timber brackets, dating to the 19th century, and two 20th-century casement windows, with three on the first floor. The building is listed for its group value.
