Description
A barn, dating from the 17th or 18th century, stands to the north-west of Sawkins Farmhouse. It is a timber-framed structure, clad in weatherboarding, and features a half-hipped red plain tiled roof. The roof extends forward over lean-to sections to the right and left of the central, hipped midstrey. A single-story forward extension, built of matching materials and with a hipped roof, is present on the right side. The barn roof is sprocketed at the front and employs a staggered side purlin construction. The barn comprises four bays with straight bracing to the tie beams and through bracing to the walls.
