Description

This barn, located to the southwest of Searles Hall, dates from the 16th or 17th century. It features four bays and is constructed with a timber frame that is weatherboarded. The roof is built using side purlins and queen post construction. The walls are supported by framed straight braces, and it has jowled storey posts along with arched braces to the tie beams.
