Description
Masons Bridge Farmhouse is a house likely dating from the 15th century, originating as an open hall with two crosswings, all now unified under a single roof. It is timber-framed and covered with pargetted plaster, with jettied brackets on the upper storey to the left and right. The roof is hipped and tiled in red, with gable ends. The first floor has a three-window range with three and four-light 17th-century iron casement windows featuring leaded panes. The ground floor has a three-window range with a mix of 19th and 20th-century casements, including a triangular oriel window on the left and 20th-century shutters on the central and right windows. A 20th-century door has small-paned glazing in its upper half. There are two external brick chimney stacks, one off-centre and one on the right. A 16th/17th-century fireplace is present, featuring an oak lintel with carved spandrels.
