Description
Little Thorn Farm Cottage is a house that dates from the 17th century or earlier, with later additions and alterations. It is constructed from timber framing and plaster, topped with a red plain tiled roof that features a crosswing on the left side. The cottage has a brick plinth and stands two storeys high. The front has a two-window range of three-light casements from around 1900, and there is an off-centre board door with two lights. A dormer window is located on the left return. The cottage has an off-centre original red brick chimney stack, which is accompanied by an original fireplace and mantel beam on the ground floor. Inside, there are heavy stop-chamfered bridging joists, and there is also a red brick chimney stack at the rear.
