Description
Gardners Farmhouse is a house that dates back to the 15th century or earlier, with alterations and additions from the 16th century and later. The building is primarily timber framed and plastered, with some sections made of red brick. It features a red plain tile hipped roof and stands two storeys tall with attics, including two 18th-century hipped dormers. The façade has a three-window range of diamond leaded casements. The central entrance has a half-glazed 19th-century door with a rectangular fanlight above it. On the left side of the building, there is an external red brick chimney stack from the 16th or 17th century, which is adjacent to a contemporary red brick gable. There is also another chimney stack located on the rear wing. The interior is said to contain 16th-century panelling and a 17th-century staircase.
