Description
Garnish Hall is a house that may have a core dating from the 17th century or earlier, with a red brick facing added in the 18th century. It is timber framed and features a hipped red tiled roof, along with two hipped dormers. The building has two storeys and attics, and a three-window range of 19th-century horned vertical sliding sashes. The central entrance has a boarded door with two lights, a flat canopy supported by brackets, and is accessed by steps. There are attached red brick chimneys on both the right and left sides. The sides and rear of the house are clad in plaster and weatherboard. Inside, it is said to contain re-used panelling, a carved overmantel from around 1650, and a 16th-century stained glass quarry in the staircase window featuring a heart-shaped device and the initials I. & T.B.
