Description
This barn, located approximately 30 metres northwest of Bovill's Hall, dates back to the 16th century and has undergone a later re-roofing. It features a timber frame and is weatherboarded, with an asbestos-clad roof. The barn has a gabled midstrey and consists of eight bays, with aisles on both sides. Notable architectural details include jowled storey posts, arched braces connecting the tiebeams and top plates, and halved and bridled scarfs at the top plates. Some braces from the storey posts to the aisle ties are still present, along with halved bracing on one end wall. The barn now has a side purlin roof.
