Description
The barn on the south west side of the yard at Woodrow Farm is likely from the 16th or early 17th century. It is a fully aisled timber-framed structure consisting of seven bays, featuring central cart entrances with hipped roofs. The walls are covered in weatherboarding, and the roof is made of old tiles with a half hipped design. There is a lower extension at the south-east end, which has a brick wall on the south west side and a half hipped roof. Inside, the frame remains largely intact, showcasing massive jowled posts set on brick plinths, curved braces connecting the tiebeams and aisle plates, raking curved queen posts, and curved windbraces supporting the purlins, all under a coupled rafter roof.
