Description

A byre, likely dating from the 17th century, is situated on the north-west side of the farmyard at Woodrow Farm. It is a timber-framed structure with weatherboard cladding, originally comprising three bays arranged in a single aisle on the north-east side. The roof is covered with old tiles. Inside, there are two posts resting on conical plinths, which are braced to a tiebeam and plate. The roof features a collar purlin. Attached to either side are lower stable ranges; one range is built of brick on the north-west side, while the other is weatherboarded on the south-east side, both with old tile roofs. This building holds group value as an example of a traditional farm building.
