Description
Woodrow Farm House is probably an early 17th-century building that has been altered and extended. It is constructed of flint with brick dressings and features in-and-out quoins. The house has a tiled roof with two gables on the southwest and northeast sides, and it stands two storeys high with an attic. The southwest elevation is covered with modern tile hanging and has two 18th-century double-hung sash windows on both the ground and first floors, along with 2-light casements in each gable. The northwest elevation is plain, featuring a moulded brick cornice and a first-floor band, along with two chimney stacks at the eaves. The northeast elevation has a moulded cornice that returns as a second-floor band and a plain first-floor band. It includes a 3-light casement in the centre of the first floor, a later door, and two sash windows to the right, as well as 2-light attic windows. An early 19th-century brick wing is attached to the east corner, facing southeast, with one double-hung sash window on each floor featuring flush frames and segmental arches. There is a one-storey wing attached on the right with modern casements on the southwest returns. The southeast elevation of the original house has an old doorway set in a modern gabled porch, a modern sash window to the right, and a blocked window on the first floor. Inside, there are timber-framed partitions and a good original roof structure in the main house.
