Description

Rent Cottage is a 16th to 17th century cottage that is timber framed and plastered. It features a red plain tiled roof that is hipped to the right, with a gabled dormer on the hip and three gabled dormers on the front. The cottage has one storey and attics, and a six-window range of 20th century leaded casements. There is a gabled open porch with a red plain tiled roof, supported by straight brackets, and a boarded door with a light. A red brick chimney stack is located to the right. Inside, the cottage has chamfered beams and through bracing to the walls, re-used smoked timbers in the roof structure, and an original brick fireplace.
