Description

Hazel Cottage is a 16th-century cottage that features a timber frame and plastered exterior, topped with a hipped thatched roof. It has a red brick ridge stack and stands at one storey with an attic. The original layout consists of two units, including an open hall and a later added stack. To the right, there is a modern outshut. The cottage has two three-light casement dormer windows and three ground floor casement windows. A boarded door is located to the right. Inside, the cottage retains a complete and substantial timber frame along with roof timbers, and the floor frames may date from the 18th century.
