Gate Cottage is a 17th-century cottage that features a timber frame and plaster exterior, topped with a hipped thatched roof. The building is one storey with an attic, though it may have originally been a single storey. It has a red brick ridge stack, one casement dormer window, two ground floor casement windows, and a boarded door on the right side. Inside, the cottage showcases an exposed timber frame, sealed hearths, and a loft ladder next to the stack.
