Description
Lower Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 16th century, with a 19th-century bakehouse on the left side and raised to two storeys in the 19th century. The building is timber framed and plastered, topped with a slate roof and features two red brick ridge stacks. It has two storeys and an original two-unit plan, with a large side stack on the right that is now concealed by a later addition. There are three casement windows on the first floor and three on the ground floor, along with a six-panelled door. Inside, the floor frames are exposed, showcasing ogee moulded main beams in the right-hand room and cross-beams in the left-hand room, with some substantial timber visible in the wall frames.
