Description

Boundary Cottage is a 16th-century cottage featuring some reused medieval timber. It has a timber-framed structure with plaster and a thatched half-hipped roof. The cottage is one storey high with an attic and has a three-unit plan. There are five windows, including one modern dormer window. The main entrance is located in a gable lean-to on the left side. Inside, there is a local red brick stack that was inserted into the hall, dating from the late 17th or 18th century. The hall retains a 16th-century floor frame, although the joists have been removed from the service end. Historically, the cottage was situated on the green before the enclosure.
