Description

Medlands is a 16th-century cottage with a three-unit plan, featuring one storey and attics. The building is timber-framed and rendered, topped with a thatched roof that is half-hipped on the left side and includes a gabled dormer. A red brick ridge stack is present. The cottage has three modern casement windows and one three-light horizontal sliding sash window with glazing bars located to the left of a modern door. An open porch supported by wooden posts features segmental-headed arches and a thatched roof. Inside, there is an original hearth, a fine moulded beam in the hall, and remnants of a chimney hood. To the west, there are single-storey outbuildings that are weatherboarded and have a pantile roof.
