Description

Walden Cottage is an early 19th-century cottage located on the north side of Common Lane in Hemingford Abbots. It is two-storeys tall with an outshut at the rear. The cottage is timber-framed and rough-cast, featuring a thatched roof that is half-hipped on the right side. There is a ridge stack and an end stack. The front of the cottage has a symmetrical arrangement of three casement windows, each with three lights and glazing bars, which are designed with Gothic arched heads above the transom on both floors. The doorway is situated to the left of the central ground-floor window.
