Description

Park Farm Cottage is a 16th-century cottage located on the south side of Common Lane in Hemingford Abbots. It has a jettied cross-wing to the west. The cottage is timber-framed, with rough-cast walls and colour-washed brick casing up to the first floor. The roofs are thatched and hipped to the left. There is an old red brick gable end stack to the cross-wing, and a modern ridge stack. Dormers are boxed and contain horizontal sliding sash windows with glazing bars. The cottage also has a pair of fixed windows with glazing bars, a modern door, and casement windows. The interior features moulded ceiling beams and remains of an original hooded chimney.
