Description

The Old Cottage is a 16th-century cottage located on the north side of High Street in Old Woking. It features a timber frame with whitewashed brick infill and a brick front. The roof is half hipped with plain tiles, gablets at each end, and a ridge stack positioned to the left of the center. The cottage has two storeys and a plat band over the ground floor. The first floor includes four 19th-century casement windows. There is a 19th-century plank door on the right side of the return front, which is sheltered by a hipped roof porch supported by wooden posts. The return fronts display corner bracing and Queen post framing, and there is a catslide extension at the rear right.
