Description

The Old Manor House is a house dating from the 17th century, built in an Artisan Mannerist style, with an 18th-century addition to the right. The walls are of galleted brick, with a plain tiled roof to the left and a mansard roof to the right, which incorporates some pantiles. Tall brick stacks are positioned at the right end and in the centre, both featuring diagonal brick dentils to their tops. The house is two storeys high, with an attic in the mansard roof’s cross wing to the right. A brick plat band runs above the ground floor and above the first floor on the right side. The windows are varied; three casement windows are positioned across the first floor to the left, while two 19th-century glazing bar sash windows are situated across the first floor to the right. A panelled door, with the top two panels glazed, is set under a cambered head to the right of the centre. There is a curving shaped gable on the left-hand return front.
