Description

Stanyards Cottage is a 16th-century cottage located on Stanyards Lane in Chobham. The building is timber framed and rests on a rendered plinth with exposed whitewashed brick infill. It has plain tiled roofs, with a hipped design and a gablet to the right end. The cottage has a T-shaped plan, with a gabled cross wing to the left. To the right are three framed bays, and a square panel is visible in the cross wing. The windows are irregularly placed; two three-light diamond pane casement windows are on the first floor to the right, and one to the left. There are three windows on the ground floor. A part-glazed door is located to the left of centre, set within an open gabled porch. Inside, the timber frame is visible, and there is a deep brick fireplace.
