Description

Brooklands Farm House is an early 18th-century house, with 20th-century extensions to the right. It is constructed of brown brick with red brick detailing, and brown brick to the right side, with plain tiled roofs. The house has a double pile plan. The two storeys are defined by a plat band across the ground floor, and a moulded wooden eaves board to the main house, with end ridge stacks and a further stack to the left of centre. The symmetrical front has five bays, featuring four glazing bar sash windows and one blocked window on the first floor. The central entrance is a 6-panel door within an architrave surround, topped by a flat cornice hood on brackets. A two-bay extension is situated to the right. The right-hand return front features a first-floor bay window with a modillion cornice across the top, beneath a shaped gable.
