Description
The former dairy buildings at Brooklands Farm date from the early 18th century and consist of linked structures that form an L-shape. The dairy is timber framed with brick stretcher-bond infill and features a hipped roof covered with old tiles, topped with a wooden finial. It is a single storey with two windows, which are casement windows with leaded lights. The entrance has a plank door with original hinges. Inside, there are slate shelves on three sides and a tiled floor. The adjoining building, also from the early 18th century, is timber framed with diagonal braces and red brick stretcher-bond infill. It has a hipped tiled roof, is single storey with one window, and features a 20th-century casement window along with an old plank door with pintle hinges. The interior of this building has been relined with 20th-century brickwork and reroofed.
