Description

Brooklands Cottage is a former granary, dating to the late 17th century, which was converted into a cottage in the 20th century. The building has a timber frame, with a brown brick underbuild and red brick infill to the exposed frame above. It is topped with a plain tiled hipped roof. The rectangular main body is one timber frame bay wide facing the street, with two bays on the return fronts. A stack is located at the rear. The upper floor has one casement window to the right, while the ground floor has two windows. A central planked door is set within an open, pentice roof porch supported by wooden posts. The building is listed for group value only.
