Home Farmhouse And Attached Dairy

Home Farmhouse and attached dairy is a house and dairy that likely dates from the early 19th century, with some additions and alterations made in the late 19th century. The building is constructed of brick, featuring some applied timber-framing, and has a tiled roof. It stands two storeys tall.

The south front showcases a single-storey timber canted bay window on the left and a sashed window with glazing bars on the right. On the first floor, there are four casement windows, each topped by a gable adorned with bargeboards, a finial, and applied timbering, except for the third window. A door is located on the left beneath an open timber porch.

At the rear, there is a parallel range, with a rear wing extending northwards on the west side. This wing features an open single-storey porch that connects it to the dairy. The main part of the dairy is octagonal and has a band of applied timbering above a brick base. On the west side, there is a timber mullioned window. Adjacent to the north side of the octagon is a gabled wing in a similar style, which includes a mullioned window at the front (west) and a door in its south wall.

Inside, the dairy is tiled and features marble slabs supported by iron brackets, along with iron gaslight brackets.
