Description

Whiteways is a 16th-century cottage located in Hemingford Abbots. It features a timber-framed structure with a jettied cross-wing and brick casing up to the first floor. The cottage has thatched roofs and a yellow brick ridge stack. There is one boxed dormer and a range of three horizontal sliding sash windows with glazing bars, along with modern casements at both floor levels. The main entrance is on the side of the cross-wing, which has a modern porch. Inside, the cottage boasts moulded ceiling beams and the cross-wing retains its wind-braced, side purlin roof.
