Description

Danbury Cottage is a 16th-century cottage located in Great Horkesley. It features two bays and is one storey high with attics. The cottage has an exposed timber frame and a steeply ridged, hipped thatched roof. There is a central red brick chimney stack and an outshut on the north side with very low eaves. To the right of the center, there is a round-headed timber doorway with a later window added. One original window has been blocked up, and the existing windows are modern casements. The first storey includes two eyebrow dormers, and there is a low thatched range extending from the north end.
