Description

Yew Tree Cottage is a house that dates back to the 16th century or earlier. It features a timber frame with heavy exposed beams and plaster infill. The roof is ridged, gabled, and hipped, covered with thatch, and has two eyebrow dormers on the north side, along with a red brick chimney at the hip end. The ground floor has modern casement windows. The tusked end of a binding joist indicates a lateral division from the 16th century and the addition of attics in what was originally an open hall.
