Description
Tarlings Farmhouse is a house that dates from the 17th century or earlier, with later alterations and additions. It was once used as a smithy. The building has a timber frame and is rough rendered at the front, while the rear is weatherboarded. It features a half-hipped red plain tiled roof. The farmhouse has two storeys, with a single-storey extension to the left made of 18th-century red brick and topped with a red pantiled roof. The first floor has three windows, while the ground floor has five windows arranged in a 3:2 pattern, all of which are three-light diamond leaded casements. There is a hipped, red tiled bay window on the right side, and a door located at the rear. The building is also adorned with two red brick chimney stacks.
