Description

Peakes Farmhouse is a house with a core dating to the 16th century, significantly altered in the 18th century and with 20th-century additions. It is timber framed and has a render of pebble dash. The roof is red plain tiles, with a half-hipped section to the left and a projecting extension to the right clad in red brick. A gabled dormer window is present. The house is two storeys high with attics, and has two ranges. The windows on the first floor are 19th-century casements with three lights and transoms. A 20th-century three-light casement is located on the left extension. The central doorway has a late 18th-century two-panel door, a canopy, and decorative brackets. Two red brick chimney stacks are visible, one central and one to the right. A moat is situated to the south of the house.
