Description

Walnut Tree Cottage is a cottage that dates from the 16th or 17th century, with later alterations and additions. It features a timber frame with plaster and a weatherboarded plinth. The roof is covered with red plain tiles and has two gabled dormers. There is a gault brick chimney stack on the left and an external red brick chimney stack on the right. The cottage has one storey and attics, with a 20th-century single storey extension to the right. The front has a 2:1 window arrangement of three-light small paned casements, each with pentice boards above. An enclosed gabled porch made of red tiles has a vertically boarded door. Inside, the bridging and ceiling joists are exposed and chamfered.
