Description

Lascelles Lodge is a double-pile house built in the early 19th century, with an extension added in the mid-19th century. The structure is made of brick with roughcast render and has slate roofs. It features two parallel north-south ranges that face east, each with low-pitched hipped roofs. There are two chimney stacks on the west wall of the eastern block, arranged symmetrically. The mid-19th century extension to the south-east continues the line of the western roof around the corner and has a chimney stack on the south wall.

To the west, there are three single-storey extensions; one is roofed with slates while the others have handmade red clay tiles. A 20th-century external chimney stack is located on the northwest. The house has two storeys. On the ground floor, there is a mid-19th century double-hung sash window with 12 lights in the extension. The main elevation features a central four-panel door with glazed upper panels and a fanlight above, which has intersected tracery. On either side of the door, there is an early 19th-century double-hung sash window with a round-arched head, where the lower sash has six lights and the upper sash has intersected tracery making eight lights, along with hinged shutters. The first floor contains three early 19th-century double-hung sash windows with 12 lights each, without shutters, creating a balanced composition in the main elevation.
