Glantanat Isaf

Glantanat Isaf is a two-storey, square double-pile house built in the 19th century, featuring three windows and facing east. The front is rendered, while the gables and most of the structure are made of uncoursed local shaley stone. It has a restored slate roof with tile ridges and large rendered chimneys at both ends of the front pile and at the north end of the rear pile, all featuring offsets.

The front elevation showcases stone mullion and transom windows in two styles, with all windows consisting of four lights. The top left and centre windows have mullions and transoms with ovolo mouldings, while the other windows have chamfered mouldings. There is a lightly constructed modern porch at the centre. Beneath the top left window, three primitive carved heads are preserved and displayed under a stone moulding. These carvings resemble primitive Celtic 'severed heads', but the slight smiles on the faces suggest that at least two are not genuine antiquities. An outline of a body has been scratched on the stone beneath one of the heads.

There is a 19th-century two-storey extension on the right side, which has a lopsided span roof and brick dressings around the windows. Additionally, there are other lean-to extensions at the rear, and the fenestration on the left side and rear has been modernised in a way that is not sympathetic to the original design. The building has not been inspected.
