Description
37 Park Street is a three-storey, two-window, double pile house dating from the 18th century. The front is colourwashed plaster over brick, topped with gently pitched slate roofs that feature lead valleys and ridges. It has plain bargeboards and deep eaves with a moulded cornice at the front. The house has truncated brick stacks, except for the one on the front left. The second-floor windows have shallow upper sashes with 12 panes, while the first and ground floor windows are fitted with 16-pane sashes. The reveals are plain, and there are stone sills. The central doorcase is topped with a gabled hood supported by consoles and has panelled reveals, although it features a modern door. At the rear, modern casement windows are set beneath cambered header arches. The eaves cornice has a saw tooth design. There is a two-storey, slate-hung cross-wing to the rear left, which has a gabled slate roof with a lead ridge.
