Description
Pont Glantanat Uchaf is a single-arch bridge, approximately 6 meters wide, constructed from local uncoursed slate masonry with sandstone voussoirs and a string course. The arch spans about 20 meters and features slightly rusticated voussoirs that are around 500 millimeters deep, with keystones on each side. The intrados surface of the arch is also rusticated.
The parapets rise to about 1 meter in height, made of the same uncoursed slate masonry, and they slightly flare out at all four ends. The flat copings include, on the downstream side, most of a stone carved with a cross within a circle, and on the upstream side, the remaining part of this stone along with another stone that has a more complete cross and circle. During an examination by the Commissioners in 1911, they looked for any accompanying inscriptions on these stones but found none.
