Description

Pistyll y Ceunant Bridge is a single-arch bridge dating from the 19th century. It has a span of approximately 12 meters and is faced with sneck-coursed, rock-faced masonry, while the interior of the arch is constructed from brick. The voussoirs are about 0.8 meters high, and there is a large rock-faced keystone that projects slightly below the intrados but does not touch the string course. The string course at the base of the parapet wall and the coping are both chisel-drafted at the edges and rough-hewn. The carriageway is about 5 meters wide.
