Description
Pont Ty-uchaf is a bridge that features a distinct masonry style compared to other bridges on the Vyrnwy perimeter road. It has a deep-segmental span of approximately 9 meters, with rusticated voussoirs that are about 500 millimeters deep. The keystone is larger than usual, adorned with arris mouldings, and extends both above the extrados and below the intrados. The bridge is constructed from uncoursed ashlar common masonry with a rough finish, and it includes weepholes in the sides just below the springing line. There is a string course at the base of the parapet.
The carriageway measures about 8 meters wide between the parapets, which are made from smaller masonry but feature a large coping. Additionally, there are terminal piers topped with conical copings.
