Description
Pont Llangedwyn is a bridge with a span of about 15 meters, constructed from ashlar masonry and featuring classical detailing. It has a segmental arch made of plain voussoirs, which do not have a distinct keystone. On either side of the arch, there are wide and shallow pilasters. Each pilaster and wing has a square string course at its base, while a rounded string course runs along the base of the parapet.
The downstream side of the bridge is further adorned with a corbel course that supports the parapet string course, as well as round-headed niches in each pilaster. The parapet on this side has a slightly projecting coping, with pairs of projecting stones at intervals underneath, dividing it into five panels.
The carriageway measures about 6 meters in width, situated between low parapets. The parapets are slightly flared out at all four ends, and some of the coping stones are secured with metal cramps.
